Arc Discharge Protection (Direct Lightning Protection / Surge Protection)

Impedance Coil

  • Suppresses surge current using high-frequency impedance characteristics

  • Induces arc voltage between ground electrodes and main conductors when lightning surges are introduced

  • A circuit that diverts commercial-frequency leakage current to ground

Ground Electrode

  • When the potential difference exceeds 500 V, an arc is generated to dissipate energy

  • Symmetrical arrangement prevents localized discharge caused by lightning surges

Lightning Surge Application Test Results (Waveform)

When 2.16 MV is applied using a direct lightning test generator, it can be confirmed that the voltage is reduced to 18 kV
